Assistance To (Filipino) Nationals Section

This section of the Philippine Consulate General attends to matters relating to Filipinos in distress. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Preparation of temporary travel documents;

  • Assistance in social welfare and medical-related cases;

  • Assistance in criminal cases (e.g., accompanying OFWs who are victims of maltreatment and abuse to hospitals and police);

  • Assistance in immigration related cases (e.g., overstaying Filipino nationals or extension of stay due to meritorious cases);

  • Assistance in locating whereabouts of missing Filipino nationals;

  • Assistance to Filipinos facing court cases and imprisonment;

  • Assistance to stranded Filipino nationals in Hong Kong ports;

  • Assistance in death-related cases;

  • Assistance in cases of illegal recruitment and human trafficking.

We also entertain labor and legal cases but we will endorse you to the appropriate authorities for their expert intervention.

  • Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) for matters relating to employers and employment agencies;

  • Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) for computation of labor claims, hospital visits and mediation with employment agencies/employers;

Please approach any ATN Officer who may be available from 9:00a.m.-4:00p.m., Sunday to Thursdays. For cases that need attention after office hours or Fridays and Saturdays, please call the Philippine Consulate General hotline at 9155-4023.
