Hong Kong, 19 June 2023 - In commemoration of the 162nd Birth Anniversary of the Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, the Consulate General of the Philippines welcomed the book placement of “π·π‘Ÿ. π½π‘œπ‘ π‘’ π‘…π‘–π‘§π‘Žπ‘™ π‘‡π‘Ÿπ‘Žπ‘£π‘’π‘™π‘  2020 - π‘…π‘’π‘‘π‘Ÿπ‘Žπ‘π‘–π‘›π‘” π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ πΉπ‘œπ‘œπ‘‘π‘ π‘‘π‘’π‘π‘  π‘œπ‘“ π‘Ž π‘π‘Žπ‘‘π‘–π‘œπ‘›π‘Žπ‘™ π»π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘œ π΄π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘’π‘›π‘‘ π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ π‘Šπ‘œπ‘Ÿπ‘™π‘‘” published by photojournalist Mr. Enrique Rueda Sadiosa on 15 June 2023 at Sentro Rizal Hong Kong.
The 512-page coffee table book was received by Vice Consul Jose Angelo D.G. Manuel and was held after the installation of new members of the Order of the Knights of Rizal China, Hong Kong and Macau Chapters.
“Dr. Jose Rizal Travels 2020” is a 5-year retracing book project which features the actual places and destinations where the National Hero has either lived, visited or studied abroad from 1882-1896 according to his travel diary and letters. The said book also aims to rekindle the hearts of Filipinos and non-Filipinos, who propagate the teaching and ideals of Dr. Rizal, in their sense of nationalism, identity and love of country.
