Hong Kong, 01 September 2023 - Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray officially launched her wax figure that will be featured at the Madam Tussauds Hong Kong on 31 August 2023.

Philippine Consul General to Hong Kong Raly L. Tejada, along with representatives from the Consulate and members of the Filipino community, attended the event to show their support for Ms. Gray. Fans and members of the media had a fun and engaging moment with Ms. Gray during the program.

The internationally renowned singer, advocate and beauty queen is the third Filipino immortalized at the attraction, after fellow Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and boxing champ, Manny Pacquiao. The figure perfectly captures Ms. Gray’s grace and confidence in showcasing her signature lava walk pose. The creation features a replica of Ms. Gray’s iconic fiery lava gown designed by Mak Tumang, her three stars and the sun ear cuff, and shoes designed by Jojo Bragais. The whole ensemble pays homage to her remarkable journey to the Miss Universe crown and her continuous commitment to her advocacies for the country and society.

Ms. Gray’s wax figure was initially unveiled in Madam Tussauds Singapore on March 2022. With its prominent addition to the museum’s line up, as well as the opening of borders, more Filipinos are expected to resume travel to Hong Kong and a visit to Madame Tussauds to view the Filipino displays.
