Hong Kong, 24 October 2023 — In celebration of Museums and Galleries Month 2023, the Consulate General of the Philippines and Sentro Rizal Hong Kong conducted back-to-back workshops on basic sketching and clay art which were held on 22 October 2023 at Sentro Rizal Room.

The basic sketching workshop was led by artists from Guhit Kulay – a group of talented Filipino migrant artists based in Hong Kong. Around ten (10) participants attended and successfully completed the workshop wherein they were introduced to various basic sketching techniques. The activity was organized to unlock the creative minds of Filipino migrant workers and provide a space where they can express their ideas and inner selves through art.

In addition, Post invited Hong Kong-based Filipino children to participate in the clay workshop conducted by Mr. Ali Estrada during the “Laro, Sining, at Imahinasyon: An Interactive Learn and Play Experience”, organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of Public and Cultural Diplomacy. The workshop was a golden opportunity for the seven (7) children to harness their imagination and create various clay artworks. After the workshop, the kids were able to virtually explore Museo Pambata through the 360° gamified virtual tour launch.
