Hong Kong, 11 February 2024 - The Bacolod City MassKara Festival, represented by the Barangay Granada MassKara Dancers, wowed the crowd with their colorful and vibrant performance at the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 held on 10 February 2024 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (HKCC) Piazza Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.

The event was attended by no less than the Chief Executive, John KC Lee and other high-ranking officials from the Hong Kong Government. It was a grand display of performances and floats from all over the world, marking Hong Kong’s grand welcome to the auspicious Year of the Dragon.

The Bacolod MassKara was one of the performing groups during the event which included international contingents from Mainland China, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Germany, Korea, Australia, Spain and USA, as well as local performing groups from Ocean Park, Hong Kong Disneyland and Cathay Pacific, among others.

Consul General Germinia V. Aguilar-Usudan attended the event organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and sponsored by Cathay Pacific. The parade route started at HKCC and ended at Salisbury Road, also in Tsim Sha Tsui.

After a five-year hiatus, the Chinese New Year extravaganza made a grand comeback this year with the theme “World Party Great Celebration”. The Philippines also participated in Hong Kong’s Chinese New Year Parades in 2016 and 2017 with Philippine Festival performances namely, Dinagyang Festival and Kadayawan Festival, respectively.
