The Overseas Voting Secretariat, led by its Chairperson, Undersecretary Jesus "Gary" S. Domingo, in partnership with the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, conducted a Filipino Community Leaders Briefing on Overseas Voting last 17 March 2024 at the Consulate's Public Area, following the first leg of the program which took place last 3 December 2023 in Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel and Towers, Tsim Tsa Tsui, Hong Kong. The Briefing was attended by a total of 74 Filipino volunteers.
The program opened with a Welcome Remarks from Consul General Germinia V. Aguilar-Usudan, who called on our Filipino Community Leaders to register and encourage their members to register as well, before the overseas voters registration deadline of 30 September 2024.
The Consul General’s remarks was followed by a briefing of Undersecretary Domingo wherein he provided updates on upcoming overseas voting initiatives from the Manila. He further inspired everyone in attendance to become Volunteer Ambassadors, as they go about their day-to-day activities as Overseas Filipinos. He was assisted by Vice Consul Allan G. Revote, the OIC of the Overseas Voting Section of the Consulate, in providing a brief update on overseas voting registration procedures at Post and in answering questions from the audience relating to overseas voting concerns.
