HONG KONG, 7 April 2024 - The International Justice Mission (IJM), together with members of Overseas Filipino society in Hong Kong, staged a Fundraising Dinner on 14 March 2024 at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club in Causeway Bay. The Dinner was aptly entitled "Raising Hope,” which aimed to raise funding for IJM's operations to combat Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC) in the Philippines. IJM was established in 1997 with the aim of protecting people from violence by rescuing victims, bringing criminals to justice, restoring survivors to safety and strength, and helping local law enforcement build a safe future. Vice Consul Allan Revote attended the event, which included a live auction officiated by Christie's auctioneer Emmanuelle Chan.

The dinner also served as an opportunity to raise awareness about IJM’s frontline rescue and restorative work in the Philippines, in partnership with local authorities. IJM’s study on the online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC) in the Philippines, entitled “Online Sexual Exploitation of Children in the Philippines: Analysis and Recommendations for Governments, Industry and Civil Society,” was conducted in 2020, in partnership with the Philippine Government, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and a variety of stakeholders.
