Hong Kong, 12 September 2024 – The trade mission of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) to Hong Kong SAR brought forty three (43) delegates from their membership which included Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from Cebu to participate as observers in the recently concluded Hong Kong Trade Development Council Food. This initiative is in line with the Chamber’s mission “to strengthen the capabilities of the members through advocacy, linkages and synergy for the competitiveness of Cebu and its people in the global economy.”

Established in 1903, the Chamber has more than 900 member companies over the last 100 years, and boasts of a membership coming from a wide array of sectors including trade, service, manufacturing, construction, logistics, tourism, education, among others. The CCCI is considered as the largest and most prominent local business service organization in the Philippines.

The CCCI met with Consul General Germinia V. Aguilar-Usudan on 15 August 2024, to discuss ways to enhance and strengthen economic relations between the Philippines and Hong Kong SAR through closer business connections among the business communities of Cebu and Hong Kong SAR. The delegation was led by CCCI’s officers, namely Mr. Felix Taguiam, CCCI Past President, Mr. Bernard Vonn Sia, Vice President for Business Development, Mr. Bernard Chioson, Assistant Vice President for Business Development, and Mr. Christian Paro-an, Assistant Vice President for Cebu Business Mobilization.
