To further bolster its ongoing health awareness campaign, the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong SAR, in cooperation with the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation, organized a breast cancer screening for Filipino nationals at the Consulate General’s premises on 9 November 2014.

Fifty-seven Filipinas attended the screening session. Two of them were recommended to undergo additional ultrasound tests after lumps were detected in their breasts.

All the participants will next have to undergo a free mammography test in the coming weeks before going back to the Consulate General on 14 December 2014, where staff of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation will discuss the results of their tests.
