Hong Kong, 19 May 2025 — The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong and Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Hong Kong (PTIC-HK) facilitated the showcase of a diverse range of Filipino food products brought by four (4) leading Philippine companies at HOFEX 2025 held from 14 to 16 May 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The Philippine booth showcased high quality and export-ready Filipino food products presented by Century Pacific Food, Inc. with its flagship brands, such as Century Tuna, Argentina, 555, Birch Tree, alongside its plant-based meat alternative brand, unMEAT, targeting health-conscious buyers and food service professionals; authentic Filipino sauces, spice mixes and condiments promoting Philippine flavors by Mama Sita’s; a variety of coconut products, oils, specialty food ingredients and customized fat-based solutions for food manufacturing showcased by Oleo-Fats Incorporated; and premium-grade pili nuts by Pili Planet, emphasizing the unique flavor and nutritional benefits of the pili nut, a Philippine superfood.
Consul General Romulo Victor M. Israel, Jr. encouraged participating Philippine Food and Beverage Companies to continuously engage the Hong Kong market to expand their global presence through the city’s strategic position and connectivity as an international trade hub. Further, through PTIC-HK’s assistance in enabling the participation of Philippine companies at the HOFEX 2025, food and hospitality traders were able to become acquainted with the different uses and possibilities that each featured Filipino product inherently bears, including its use as food and beverage ingredients in restaurants, and possible Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) arrangements for overseas markets.
Touted as Asia's leading food and hospitality trade show, HOFEX 2025 gathered more than 1,200 global brands from 16 countries and regions in the world. The trade show showcased a comprehensive range of food and beverage products, hospitality equipment, and supplies, with dedicated zones for bakery, confectionery, and specialty ingredients.
The presence of Philippine products in international food and hospitality fairs, such as HOFEX 2025, signifies the growing reputation of the Philippine food industry while expanding export markets and trade opportunities. END
