Newly-arrived Consul General Antonio A. Morales paid a courtesy call on Indonesian Consul General Tri Tharyat.

The consuls general exchanged views on a wide range of issues, and agreed to strengthen cooperation and work together on matters relating to the promotion of the interest of migrant workers in Hong Kong.

Among the initiatives discussed were the enhancement of consular services, including the passport application process and assistance-to-nationals, and the creation of a technical working group to discuss migrant workers issues.

Consul General Morales assured Consul General Tharyat of the Philippine Consulate General’s continued cooperation and collaboration, especially on matters relating to migrant workers’ rights and welfare.
