Consul General Antonio A. Morales called for the continued partnership and cooperation of the Philippine Association of Hong Kong (PAHK) during its induction ceremony held at the Consulate. 

The 2018 PAHK officers were led by its chairman, Mr. Franco Villanueva.

During his speech, Consul General Morales noted the strong historical ties of the Philippiens and Hong Kong, with no less than national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, making the Territory his temporary refuge with his family and where he practiced medicine between 1891 and 1892. 

Consul General Morales underlined the importance of implementing initiatives to protect the rights and improve the welfare of Filipinos in Hong Kong, promote Philippine culture and arts, and enhancing Philippines-Hong Kong trade relations.

The PAHK induction ceremony is Consul General Morales’ first Filipino community event since assuming his post on 6 January 2018. 

PAHK was founded in 1961 and is composed of Filipinos professionals in Hong Kong, mostly from Philippine company representatives in the Territory.
