Consul General Antonio A. Morales looked forward to more vibrant collaboration and partnership with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) during his term as the Consulate's head of post.

In a welcome luncheon hosted by HKTDC Executive Director Margaret Fong today, Consul General Morales noted that there is strong potential to enhance trade and investment relations between the Philippines and Hong Kong, especially through HKTDC's support and following the signing of the ASEAN-Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement in November 2017 in Manila.

Consul General Morales welcomed HKTDC's proposal to organize a high-level investment mission to the Philippines in April, as well as a stronger presence of Philippine companies in HKTDC-organized expos and fairs to promote Philippine products and services.

In 2017, HKTDC led two business missions to the Philippines which shows the Hong Kong business community's keen interest to explore business opportunities in the country.
