Consul General Antonio A. Morales recognized the volunteerism of Filipino household service workers attending the "Are you ok? - Okay ka ba?" ambassadors training at the Equal Opportunties Commission (EOC) in Wong Chuk Hang.

Consul General Morales noted that taking part in the campaign is showing concern for others especially migrant household service workers in Hong Kong who may be victims of various exploitations.

Consul General Morales also took the opportunity to inform the Filipino Community participants of the issuance of 10-year valid passports starting 1 January, and of the Consulate's initiative to improve services for Filipinos and the general public which includes the possible implementation of a passport appointments app.

He also met with EOC officials during the visit and discussed initiatives to protect the rights and interests of Filipinos in Hong Kong.

The "Are you okay? - Okay ka ba?" campaign is a project of EOC, International Organization for Migration-Hong Kong Sub-Office, Christian Action and RainLily, in partnership with the Consulate under its Gender and Development Program.

More than 40 OFWs participated in the first session of the ambassadors training program.
