Consul General Antonio A. Morales attended the 11th Asian Financial Forum (AFF) on 15-16 January 2018 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The forum was organized by the Hong Kong government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
Under the theme “Steering Growth and Pioneering Innovation: Asia and Beyond”, the two-day forum welcomed more than 2,900 financial and business leaders, policymakers, investors and individuals from more than 50 countries and regions. Speakers shared insights on developments and trends in Asian markets.
Among these developments is the signing of the ASEAN-Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement in November 2017 in Manila, Philippines. ASEAN can leverage on the opportunities that the agreement can offer as it solidifies its position as a vital pillar of Asia’s continued economic growth.
