PH, ID CONSULATES HOLD EXCHANGE ON BEST PRACTICES 

HONG KONG, 22 January 2017 – The Philippine Consulate General  met with officials of the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong to exchange best practices on consular matters as part of Consul General Antonio A. Morales’ commitment to further improve client services.

Philippine Vice Consul Fatima G. Quintin, accompanied by Passport Section Supervisor Violaflor Enerlan-Ancheta, Passport/IT Officer Edmound R. Cortes and Passport Officer Mimilanie M. Tan, met with Indonesian Consul Andry Indrady and Vice Consul Charles Christian at the Indonesian Consulate General.

One of the initiatives discussed during the meeting was the passport appointments mobile app, which the Indonesian Consulate General has implemented since 2016. A similar mobile app is currently being explored by the Philippine Consulate General for possible use of its own passport applicants.

The Philippine and Indonesian sides agreed to continue to cooperate and work together to ensure that consular services for their respective communities in Hong Kong are enhanced and facilitated.
