Philippine Consul General Antonio A. Morales hosted a welcoming dinner on 15 March 2018 for the participating team, the coaches and arbitrator from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, the lone Philippine representative to the 15th Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong.
The Ateneo Law School contingent was led by Moot Arbitrator Katrina Elaine Aguila, an attorney for the Supreme Court of the Philippines, coaches Rafael Roman Cruz and Gerard Samuel Alphonsus Contreras, and the team members Vivian Valerie V. Valdez, Celina Marie S.J. Hilario and Raymond Cheng.
The Ateneo Law School team, which was one of 126 from 31 countries and territories participating at the 15th Vis East Moot on 11-18 March 2018, received an Honorable Mention for Best Respondent Memorandum, with Jolina Leonardo, Christine Leong, and Berna Encarnacion who were not in Hong Kong comprising the rest of the writing team.
Apart from the Philippines, there were participants from Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Mexico, Myanmar, Nepal, the Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam.
