Business Seminar held in PH Consulate in HK for OFWs
The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong and a non-profit NGO WIMLER Foundation HK Ltd held a seminar entitled Entrepreneurship Basics: How to Start a Business at the Consulate Chancery on 29 April 2018.
Mr. Jared King, an entrepreneur and Founder of Lender Friend, an online money lending company for migrant domestic workers, outlined the basics of entrepreneurship and provided tips on how to choose the right business to start and eventually nurture the same.
During his lecture, Mr. King told the 75 participants to believe in themselves because any obstacle can be overcome. He added that one should write down her vision and fully commit herself to it.
Case study and Q&A session followed the talk where the attendees were given a chance to ask questions and share tips and information. Mr. King ended the workshop with a saying “Believe in yourself, work hard, and be brave”.
The next workshop for OFWs under the partnership of the Consulate and WIMLER HK will be on 13 May 2018.
