The Philippine Consulate General took advantage of an opportunity to get to know members of Hong Kong’s Legislative Council during a briefing and a luncheon hosted by President Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen for resident consuls general and honorary consuls at the Legislative Complex on 7 May 2018.
Deputy Consul General Roderico C. Atienza attended the event with 25 consuls general –including them the doyen of the consular corps from Argentina, the US, Japan, EU, Russia, France, and Korea –, another deputy consul general and 10 members of the Association of Honorary Consuls in Hong Kong & Macau SAR, China.
LegCo President Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen briefed the attendees on several key legislative issues, including the co-location arrangement at the West Kowloon Station of the Hong Kong Section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL) and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area.
Apart from Mr Leung, Mr Atienza also met Legco members Mr Ronick Chan Chun Ying, Mr Jeremy Tam Man-ho and Mr Ma Fung-kwok.
