Filipino talent shines through in LGBTQ concert in HK
Filipino talent shone through during the concert “Unleash” of The Harmonics, Hong Kong's First LGBTQ Choir, on 9 June 2018 at the Caritas Kowloon Community Hall in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Filipino choir members included Brenda Alegre, Mae Lim, Josh Lemuel Reyes and Andrei Reyes. Filipino artists Andrew Mark Baris, who impressed X Factor-Australia judges in 2016, and The Unsung Heroes, a Hong Kong-based choir composed of Filipino household service workers, were the concert’s guest artists.
The event, which was held in celebration of Pride Month, was attended by Philippine Consulate General representatives as part of its advocacy to support gender equality initiatives under the auspices of its Gender and Development (GAD) Program.
