Consul General Antonio A. Morales attended as guest of honor the 3rd anniversary of the Filipino community group, Migrants Lay Missionaries, which was conducted by Fr. Jay Francis Flandez, head of the Chaplaincy for Filipinos in Hong Kong, at the Sacred Heart Canossian College, Mid-Levels, Hong Kong.

Consul General Morales recognized in his remarks the work of Migrants Lay Missionaries, a composed of OFWs in Hong Kong who conduct spiritual work among Filipinos in the Territory, most of whom are household service workers.

He also commended the team’s partnership with the Philippine Consulate General especially in implementing capacity building initiatives for their fellow Filipinos.

The event also served as a farewell gathering for Attaché Hermogenes Cayabyab. Jr., head of the Philippine Consulate General’s Assistance-to-Nationals Section, whose posting in Hong Kong will end in August.
