Consul General Antonio A. Morales represented the Philippines in a luncheon hosted on 24 September 2018 by this year’s ASEAN chair country for the ASEAN Consular Corps in Hong Kong in Pokfulam in the western part of Hong Kong Island.

Singapore Consul General Foo Teow Lee hosted a dozen representatives of ASEAN consulates general in Hong Kong, primarily consuls general or their representatives as well as spouses, at the Pokfulam Chinese Restaurant. Mr Mok Chak Yong, Vice Consul in charge of Political Affairs, assisted Consul General Foo in the gathering.

As a special administrative region inside China, Hong Kong does not formally have a Third Party ASEAN Committee reporting to the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. However, all 10 ASEAN member countries maintain consulates general in the territory, with concurrent accreditation to Macau. The Philippines has a separate consulate general in Macau.
