The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong hosted on 12 November 2018 a three-day exhibit titled “Linea Fina” at the Consulate Gallery, showcasing the artworks of renowned painter Lydia Velasco and five other Filipino contemporary artists, namely Julius Legaspi, Noel Bueza, Erwin Mallari, Salvador Ching and Adeline Buenaventura.

Consul General Antonio A. Morales led the opening ceremony and cocktail reception, inviting guests to view the diverse artworks ranging from paintings to sculptures which were on display until 14 November 2018.

Linea Fina also featured art workshop sessions for household service workers in Hong Kong conducted in watercolor by Julius Legaspi and in oil pastel by Noel Bueza on 11 November 2018 at the Gallery. Both artists conducted lessons on basic drawing, color mixing and brush stroke techniques.

The event was held in partnership with Kambal Gallery, a Hong Kong-based collective founded by twins Irene Bernarte Haagen and Anna Pendry with the objective of promoting and elevating Filipino arts in the international art scene.
