With an aim to promote the Philippines’ trade, investment, retirement, and tourism opportunities, the Philippine Consulate General participated in the 2019 Smart Biz Expo held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), Hong Kong from 4 to 6 December 2019.

Organized by the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council (HKTCDC), the Expo with theme “Smart tech makes great business,  is a one-stop platform for enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to explore market opportunities and trends in business transformation and upgrade through innovation, creativity, and application of technology and design.

The Consulate’s booth showcased the Philippines as a tourism and retirement haven through a series of video presentation and a display of native Filipino delicacies such as polvoron, dried mangoes, and “otap”. The Consulate’s representatives actively participated in the Expo through network interaction with visitors of the Expo and dissemination of information brochures on Philippine tourism and trade and investment.

The Smart Biz Expo, in conjunction with HKTDC Hong Kong International Franchising Show, drew an estimated 5000 visitors and around 300 exhibitors worldwide.
