The officers and staff of the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, including the attached agencies attended the flag raising ceremony held at the PCG public area to commemorate the National Flag Day.

As public servants, the officers and staff of the Consulate and the attached agencies recited the Panunumpa sa Watawat and Panunumpa ng Kawani ng Gobyerno to affirm their commitment.

Consul General Tejada mentioned the importance of the National Flag Day as it symbolizes not only unity, freedom and equality but more importantly the sacrifices made by our forebears to achieve independence and maintain the freedom that we all enjoy. He reminded everyone that as Filipinos we should give respect and reverence to our flag, a symbol of our nation’s sovereignty and solidarity.  In his short remarks, Consul General Tejada added that public servants must be guided by loyalty, respect, dignity, and integrity. He also encouraged fellow government workers to render services to the public with honesty, dedication, and humility.

In celebration of the National Flag Day, the Philippine flag and flaglets were exhibited at the public area of the Consulate
